Spider Rear Seat Install

When I purchased my S4 earlier this year part of the deal with the family was that I could fit a rear seat and safety belt - with the help of Alfarama and much seat searching this was completed and Spidey can now be enjoyed by all on summer days.

I have had a few requests to show where the mountings are - so here goes

The Belts without the seat

The mounting of the belt tensioner on the shock from inside

The mounting for the belt lock inside

The other side of the belt is mounted with the passenger sides belt mounting

The seat - this was found in Argos for a few quid and was the largest I could find - comes in 3 pieces which can be stored in boot when not being used - the 3rd piece, the headrest can be removed when the roof is up.

The seat in the car

The happy co-pilot - it gets a little windy when driving on Motorways so we'll put the roof up but on normal roads it's fine. He's fell a sleep a few times so this can be taken as a measure of comfort!

How long it will last as he grows who knows

Hey that's a cool installation there! He looks to be a genuine Alfista, too. I recognize that because we happen to have one! Glad the Spider "deal" worked out for everyone.

BTW- did you stipulate in the agreement that you and your Spider are not responsible when and if he grows out of that seat?? Kids will do that...

I remember growing up sitting sideways back there! Of course, that was in the mid 80's, so no seatbelt. We just didn't know any better

I remember riding with my brother in the back of my Mom's Giulietta Sprint Veloce! Now that I'm 6'6, 250lbs I don't think that would work. But I am putting a temporary passenger seat in my GTV race car. That's so I can give my 5 year old a ride! He already loves going out in my '56 Giulietta!

After we outnumberd mom's MG TD she got a 66 Mustang. I remember her being pulled over and the cop told her to make us stop riding while sitting on the top boot! You probably get locked up for that today.

We don't need no stinkin baby seats!
