Blowing Fuse Problem

I have a problem with my 1975 Spider.

Whenever I depress the brake pedal it seems to blow a fuse in the fuse box.

I cannot seem to trace the source of the problem, any advice of what could be the couse of this problem?

Thanks

A short in the brake light switch or leads in the brake light circel or one of the bulb sockets.
Start by taking out the bulbs one at a time, check leads going from the sockets to the switch and from the switch to the fuse block.

It is the winter weather causing it. Your Alfa resents your lack of attention due to the long period of inactivity and is like a petulent child, getting even with you for your lack of attention. You have to visit it every day and pet it and talk of the sunny days to come when you and it can again dominate the road. Seriously, take out all the stop lamp bulbs and try the curcuit with a good fuse. Should not fail. Replade the bulbs one at a time, testing each time. When you hit the bulb which again blows the fuse, that will be your grounded circuit. Look for a dead short to ground.

Make sure you also get underneath the dash and push the brake pedal down as you watch if wires are getting bunched or crimped together...

Best regards,

One utter place to look is (Passenger side rear interior) where the wires go through from inside the rear at the shelf going into the trunk.
