New ebrake cable

I put my new ebrake cables in (all three) but I do not recall if the brackets botled to the rear transaxle go up or down. Either way, I cannot get the cables that go out to the wheels to connect. Anyone have an idea of what I am doing wrong? Perhaps someone can post a pic? Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks,
Quinn

Yours just makes me jealous is all. That looks SO nice and clean. It appears the brackets on mine will not spread out as far towards the wheels, allowing the side cables to attach. I will have to go mess with it after work. Thank you for the pic.

Scratching my head...again.

Quinn

Make sure that the adjustment for the front cable (the long one) that attaches to the e/brake lever is screwed all the way in. Then attach all cables. Adjust e/brake shoes with the rotors installed and lastly, adjust cable 'free play' at the front cable adjuster.

osso,
It's hard to tell with these monitor settings but are those yellow canvas axle straps? If so, where do you get them?

Thats what I have done. I just can't get the side cables to reach far enough to attach.

Those are OE straps that I bought about 7 yrs ago. I think I got them from Grove Motors when they were selling lots of Alfa parts. I don't know if they are still in the business of selling Alfa parts.
