Convertible top frame question - S4

I am considering removing the excellent black top and frame from my '91 Spider Veloce and replacing it with a "salvage" frame and a new tan top (car is red/tan). Thought this might be more productive than stripping off an excellent top and replacing it with the tan one (which I already have). The question is: WHAT MODEL YEAR SPIDERS USE THE SAME FRAME AS THE S4's?

THANKS for help from all you guru's from a relative newby to the Alfa spider family.

Gary,
If you go through with this project, I would be interested in the left over black one if you would consider selling it.

Hi Gary,

I'm in the same situation as you with a worn top and better top on a separate frame. I have procrastinated over the change for some time, but the original top is getting pretty ratty, so something needs to happen soon. Whichever of us gets to the top/frame change first needs to post details of the activity.

Huh? You say its an excellent top/frame and you want to go to the trouble of replacing it, just for a color change? I wouldnt do it. There is plenty of work to do on these cars without looking for extra "jobs".....LOL

Blk goes with any color, and v common.

Plus you will have to store it........

I respect your opinion though......

Joe,
Thanks for the comment about trouble to change tops. I just happen to like the tan/red better than black with red. The black current top is the OE one, and is in excellent condition, so it may be a crazy idea - but I have the brand new canvas tan top!
Also, there is nothing to be done to this car. Bought it ('91 Spider Veloce) last fall with 19K miles on it, changed all fluids, went over the paint once with Klasse' all-in-one, and it is essentially perfect. One family ownership with multiple cars, always garaged, never an accident or ding. Just turn the key and drive!! Currently, one of 6 cars with two drivers, so it doesn't get driven much, and not when rainy, or during winter months.
