1993 Speedometer question

Just had a question. If a speedo quits on a 1993 Spider, are there electrical terminals I should first check out like on a Milano to see if the connection is the problem.
Thanks
Clem

Hey Clem:

There are a few possibilities. First thing I would do would be to check all my fuses with an ohm meter. Then I would be check the cable that runs between the tranny and the pulse generator. And check the pulse gen. If that all appears good, I would go into the gauge cluster and check the pins that the speedo plugs into within the cluster. That's about it. Of course run your electrical connections to insure you don't have a frayed wire somewhere.

Best Regards,
John M

My speedo went out last week. Turned out to be the lighter shorting out. Blew fuse 7 (or 8?). Does the heater fan still work? If not, its probably the fuse. I disconnected the lighter and replaced the fuse...all better.
