Borgo Liner and Piston Sets

Saw this on another Alfa site...someone(Bruce from Bruce's Parts Bin) was reporting that Borgo is no longer producing liner and piston sets

, possibly because of a takeover by AE(don't know of them but that's no surprise).
Does anyone have better info on this?

The takeover by AE occured a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see the P&Ls go away, but that's probably not the cause.

I really doubt that Alfa piston/liners are not being produced. AE is still being manufactured in Europe and there is still a market for Alfa piston/liners.

What I find ironic that all the so called factory vendors for Alfa parts. (AE/Borgo, Reinz, Ansa.) Are wholly owned by U. S. corporations. (AE is owned by Federal Mogul, Reinz by Dana, Ansa by Arvin/Meritor.)

Just something to chew on.
