Enclosed style headlight swap to the not bubbled lights?
Wow, that topic name probably sounds retarded, but I do not know how to explain it.
Is it possible to put this type of headlight (below)

Into this type of spider, with the normal lights (this one is older, but I mean a 82-88ish, just using this pic to show the other type of light. Hope dont mind me using the blue car, it is a members ride)

I like the lights on the red car, the enclosed style, and want to know if it is possible to put that type into the blue car, with the normal ones.

Sure, as long as your car (or your future car?) is older than 1982. Alfa changed contour of the headlight recess when they introduced the series 3 Spider (83-on) so the "bubbles", the headlight covers, won't fit well (it's not impossible, but you will have large gap between the cover and the body) on these post-1983 Spiders.
Hope this helps,

Yes, it is possible. However, if done properly, it is quite involved, requiring the re-welding of a headlite bracket behind the painted fender surface which risks potentially burning the paint unless you are careful and use heatsink paste.
The picture of the red Spider above has the later style headlites that usually do not go w/ the covers and I am not quite sure how they are fitted on the car.
Some other members may chime in who have done the conversion w/o relocating the headlight more inward, as is the original set-up.

Headlight trim rings on the red roundtail is the special ones made for installing the headlight covers with front-mounted headlights. The trim is made of stainless steel and is thinner and smaller in outer diameter so that the cover mounting holes (where the tabs on the cover are inserted to the sheetmetal) are exposed outside of the trim ring.

Actually....
It can be done with the series 3 Spiders, but it takes some effort. One of the NWARC members, who I believe is not on the bb, has done it to his 84 Spider and it looks very natural. I wish I had a picture to share with you. You might try to contact him by e-mail bjgehring2 at msn dot com. He does a lot of work with his miniatures collection, so it could be tricky....
hope this helps.

Why not?
If one has knowledge of a subject, why not share, regardless of join date?
After all, YOU shared a lot of knowledge about hotrodding/speeding ALFA Spiders, and you have been on the board for a year and a half.
(And you're just a KID)

Yes, but the knowledge about Alfas I share is from experience with owning one, not that I'm 18 years old and never owned one...I thought he had one by now.

DD, I do not give advice on Milanos because I know Milanos, I give advice because I know automobiles. As you can tell, I do not post anything claiming I know, I simply post replies to people having trouble that relates to most autos. Sorry, I am a student whom is not made of money. Just because I am broke does not make me some sort of idiot. I have quite a large automotive knowledge that many people from other forums would be happy to agree. Sure, you may own an Alfa, and probably do know more about Alfas than I do, but your automotive knowledge is probably much less than mine. I have read some of your post, and just laugh at some of the stuff you say, and I am not the only one. So you calling me out isnt quite a big deal to me, you should be used to it.
Also, why post in my thread, and not give any advice, or even be on subject. Wow, I would think you were the newbie.
Regards
Matt

Matt, I know more about GM and Ford cars than ANYONE on this forum! You laugh at which you might not know. Is that "newbie" enough?

How many thousandths of an inch do you take off a set of stock 351 cylinder heads to retain the same compression ratio as a 302 that they end up getting bolted onto, and how is the valve lash set?
