All round tails have the pinch on the nose ('66 - '69). Only the '66 and '67 editions had the 1600 engine, and these were fitted with carburetors. In 1968 Alfa went to the 1750 engine, but no roundtails were imported to the U.S., because the SPICA wasn't ready, and they could not meet U.S. regulations with the carburetor set-up. (Canada got 1968 Spiders: 1750s with carbs.) Alfa resumed exporting cars into the U.S. in February of 1969. The '69 Spider had a 1750 engine with SPICA injection. The 1750 engine with SPICA was retained through 1971, even though the 1971 body style was changed to the kamm tail. The 2000 cc engine was introduced in 1972.
Prices are hard to tell, so here are some personal guidelines that I use. The roundtails have achieved collectible status, and drivers (a number 3 car) are in the teens, with really good cars hitting close to $30k. The roundtails have been expensive for a while, so in some cases people will feel that they should have an even higher price. The range for GTVs is similar, and although they are not considered as "collectible" as the roundtails, they are very much in demand. Any of the two editions that drives, but has needs, like rust, etc. is nowhere near or above $10k.
Best regards,
