Assuming you don't have Rodney Dangerfield sized golf bags, you can easily get 2 sets in. It does help to take the woods out and lay them down first.

I traveled from Philadelphia to South Florida with 2 suitcases, and 2 sets of golf clubs. I also regularly used to fit my clubs on the parcel shelf behind the seat.

You can get some more head room, by substituting the OE spare wheel with an EM spare from a Ford Focus (lots at the scrap yard).
If your OE wheels are alloy, you may need a "steel" wheel set of wheel nuts such as what is used on a honda as the OE quad nuts are close ended and will not clamp the EM steel spare.
Also Focus EM wheel may not go on rear hub, but it fits right on front hub, so if you have a rear flat you may need to bring an OE front to back and then use the Focus to spare the front. In addition your EM spare can save you about 20lbs of dead weight.
Cost of an "as new" Focus EM spare is Free to $15 at the car cemetery.

Absolutely!
Just don't plan on carrying a passenger at the same time.

Two tennis racquets, a towel and 2 'cans' of balls will fit easily!
Cheers!

Welcome to the BB, dot, and congratulations on your acquisition!
You will be very pleased with the Spider trunk and rear deck behind the seats. When we travel, my wife takes her full size hard suitcase and I take my roll-aboard. Both fit in th trunk, with plenty space around the edges, and we can even lay a garment bag flat on top of the bags! Then, we still have the rear deck, where you should be able to fit golf clubs as well, and still have room to throw sweatshirts and coats on top.
Don't forget to post pics, when you get the car. (We love pics! )
Best regards,

Welcome to the bb and welcome to the illness....
I don't see why you couldn't get two sets of golf clubs in a Spider plus a bunch of other stuff....if Pat could a get a 2 ton engine puller home in the trunk of the Berlina a couple sets of clubs in a spider should be no problem.

Yes, of course it matters. The volume of the area behind the seats is reduced when the top is down, and the height behind the seats is limited when the top is up.
