have any of you got one of these fitted?

if so are they any good? do they help? or are they more trouble than they're worth?

Protrudes a bit. I wouldn't want to try it with a car with low ground clearance like the spider.

I wonder if they make one in a size to fit the coolant drain hole on the side of the block? It would be nice to drain the coolant without soaking half the engine compartment.

There was one on eBay a few weeks ago that was advertised as being for the coolant drain in the block. It looked very similar to the one pictured....... Supposedly they were standard equipment on the block of much earlier cars, perhaps Giulietta's.
