I just bought a Duetto!
I purchased a Duetto manufactured on October 6, 1966. It has the original paint and interior. It should be arriving from East coast in 3-4 weeks. I look forward to making it roadworthy and driving it all around. It also comes with the factory hardtop. Owner had purchased it in early 70s from an Alfa Dealer that took it on a trade in. It still has the tire pressure sticker on the windshield. Original spare, not used, still in the trunk. Sounded great when it ran. Pictures attached.
This is a keeper for me.
I look forward to maintaining it, as I intend to put some miles on it. I may have some questions for the experienced Duetto owners as I find bugs, and I have worked extensively on various other Italian marques over the past 16 years.

That is a car that you can drive on Cat Canyon Road and have a blast with the top down!

Very impressive! Very original and my favorite color combo on a Duetto or Series II.

Christmas present
Yes, it was a Christmas present to myself. I sold a Jag xk140 several months ago and felt an empty feeling without a toy car. I wanted to go back to Italian and rather than wait, decided to "gift" myself now. What a nice gift.
I will provide more photos soon. I have to get out the Christmas cards and presents first.
Thanks for the encouragement. I too love the color combination.

Congrats on the new purchase. That is a cool color combination. We'll expect to see you and your new Duetto at the Concorso in Monterey next August.
Looks like you need some headlight rings - the PO clearly did something with the headlight buckets. He may have mounted them from the inside of the fender, and run those plexiglass covers. Or, he may have just lost the rings - it's hard to tell from your photo.
All 105/115 spiders use the same headlight rings (well, perhaps the the EFI generation cars differ - I don't know anything about them), so parts are readily available. Personally, I much prefer the look of chrome rings + buckets mounted from the outside of the fenderwell, to the plexiglass covers + recessed lights. The plexi covers always looked bulbous to me, and have the practical problem of turning yellow.
Here's a picture of my Duetto. If you look closely, you can see where I have put "band aids" over the holes where the silly headlight covers were formerly mounted. And, no my headrests (and wheels, and engine, and ....) are not original.

According to Alfa Romeo, my duetto was manufactured on 10/6/1966 and sold 10/7/1966 to Alfa Rome of Germany in Frankfurt. The owner's wife said it had the plexiglass covers on it when they bought it in early 70's. I don't know how it came to the US.
I do have plexiglass covers, but the hardware is missing.

def add the covers after you get the hardware. check IAP. always good to keep the car original especially a duetto.
