Air In Fuel Line

Lately I've noticed that my '66 Duetto has been idleing a bit roughly. Today when looking at the translucent fuel line going from the fuel filter to the carbs I noticed that air bubbles were passing through the line. I assume that this is not normal. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Could the fuel filter be leaking somehow? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try popping the fuel filter bowl off, cleaning the seals and mating surfaces, grease lightly with petro jelly and reinstall. You may have a small leak in the bowl, though I would expect to see a fuel leak in this scenario.

A little air shouldn't hurt much anyway as the carbs pull fuel from the float chamber where any bubbles should have.......well....... bubbled out !
