castor bushing...

just a thought here , instead of useing the rubber or polly bushing i the castor bushing area.. could i not use a bearing instead? i am thinking this would alow for smooth movement and not stress the castor rod/arm area behind the head lights.

Actually it'll stress that other end more rather than less.

There needs to be a certain amount of flex motion at the bushing as the upper control arm proper can deflect in a kind of fore/aft arc if you hit a bump larger than a pebble.

Things like potholes can cause it to move far enough to where the castor bushing actually thumps as it gets forced over.

Actually a bearing is not necessary. I had them built from aluminum. Have one set left. $125.00 per set if interested email me & I will send pics. This is the common fix for better handling, and more accurate suspension geometry.
