Buzzer is driving me crazy
My 94 spider has a buzzer on and it won't go off.
On my 93 it comes on when I open the door and stops after a few seconds.
Is it a relay? I need it to stop. my seat belt is on, door is closed, I can't figure it out.

Possibly the door switch is stuck? Try some WD-40 on the switches on the door jamb.

That's got the sensor in/under the seat too doesn't it?
Did you reskin your seats recently? If so, did you plug the drivers seat back into the whip by the tunnel?

There are two (one for the buzzer, the other for the interior illumination) rubber "push" on the door (by the door side attachment of the limit strap) which helps to keep the buzzer switch/button pushed in when the doors are closed. Is there any chance that they are worn, or missing? If they are still there, turning them to get better push may help cure this. If it wouldn't, the easiest cure is to remove the buzzer speaker/relay in the driver's side footwell, hidden behind the vertical carpet piece lateral to the clutch pedal. in front of the door opening.

as I never leave it in reverse and I put on the seatbelt before shifting into reverse I never had it buzz.

Thanks guys, I found it, it's the door buzzer and by turning the rubber stopper on the door side it shut it up. I'm sure it needs more help than this but it's off for now.

Gosh, I didn't even get to suggest hitting it with a hammer, frozen sockeye, or beer bottle. Dang!

It doesn't really need much more than that... Just a good cleaning so that it doesn't get stuck...
Best regards,

I had a "bing" tone on a Toyota 4Runner that drove me nuts. I finally located the speaker and jabbed a screwdriver in it. Shut that thing up quickly.
For a collector car like an Alfa, I don't recommend this.

Wait 'til you to get one of the new Chevy's then Hooligan (if you're a Chevy guy anyway)
The dinger is only volume adjustable, as in you can never turn it off completely, and it's built into/part of the actual audio system.

I've noticed that on new GM cars. Have you driven the '08 Cadillac CTS? That noise drives me absolutely crazy!
The Toyota's would bing at least two or three times AFTER the doors were closed and my seatbelt was buckled...
