Brakeproblem

Ok guys


Out of a wreck I am rebuilding a 1973 Spider 2000 Veloce and I've got a problem with my frontbrakes.

The frontbreakcalliper seem to be not the original one. They are ATE callipers with a pistondiameter of 57mm. The original one is 48mm.

Here they are. Does anyone know what type of Alfa they come from?





I borrowed an original calliper from a mate of mine, but found out the originals won’t fit. Also the spindler has different measurement.

Hope someone can help me. After 3 years the car is almost finished, but I can’t run it without frontbreaks.

I don't know (they might even be from another maker) but can't you send them off to be rebuild by a brake specialist, as I assume they fit the brake brackets and disks.

They are from a VW bus. For vintage legal racing in the states or for those who want to eliminate the brake booster, the larger bore diameter gives more hydraulic advantage to the front.
