Talking Window Sticker

We are moving again so I took it upon myself to sort through twenty some years of records to burn what we do not need before having it boxed for no reason.

During my sort I discovered a long lost file of original Alfa docs for My Spider Included was the original window sticker. Thought you would enjoy a peek.

$350.00 for the radio? It is still in the car and would find better use as a boat anchor but who is listening anyway.

Wow!

I had no idea they were that expensive. My first new car was a 1978 Fiat Spider that I paid $6,600. Now I know why I didn't buy an Alfa!

Cool!

Here's the window sticker from my second Spider, an '86 Graduate with no options. $14,470.

Was Manhattan Motors the Alfa dealer in Rockville in '86, too? My first '86 was sold new in Rockville, according to Alfa's historic records in Arese, but I don't know the name of the dealer. I assume it was the same. Somewhere around here I have a dealer list from '88 or '89, but not one for '86. For what it's worth, I bought the car in '05 in Bethesda, Maryland, just inches from Rockville!

Alfas were always very expensive, and regarded as special... Yes, an Alfa Spider was about twice the price of Fiat Spider, and more expensive than a Corvette.

Best regards,
