A newby with some questions

Hello All;
Decades ago in Ontario Canada I met a gentleman who drove a 1300 Junior. As a pre teen I was inspired by the sound of the engine and pretty much everything else about the car. I was recently looking at the collectors section of Ebay motors and surfed the Lotuses and neet old 1960's and 1970's sports cars. I found that only one car had the old look while still being relatively "new", the 1966 to 1993 Alfa Spyder Veloce.
I wonder if anyone who ownes one can tell me ... for starters if a 6' 4" tall guy will fit? Also, where to find buyes guide information on which years were the best, what to expect to pay...
Thanks in advance for any help

Welcome to the BB!

You may find this helpful:

A comment that may be helpful when considering the Spider market

As far as room in a Spider, I'm sure you will find that the older models have more room. Specifically, the pre-1986 interiors which did not have the knee bolsters. In fact, the first generation of knee bolsters were installed in '86 - '90 Spiders, and the second (and larger!) generation were fitted to '91 - '94 Spiders.

I would also encourage you to use the search function, as there are many threads with advice for potential owners, and discussions about how well (or not) do tall people fit in a Spider.

Best regards,

I'm 6'3 and 240+lbs I fit in my 88 ok. It's tight, but well worth the squeeze. There was just a thread about this the other day. Let me see if I can link it.

You may want to avoid the floor mounted pedals

I am 6' and driving a Duetto or 1969 Spider with floor mounted pedals is of concern. Not that I cannot drive it, but is uncomfortable. If longer, it may be more of a problem. You may want to consider a 70+ series 2 with firewall mounted pedals that give more room.

Of course, i love my Duetto's too much to be concerned about the driving position!
