Oh, almost forgot, still need to make up the arm rest insert using the negative from the passenger side and then the door lever insert in carbon fiber, a little more work, but apples to apples-she looks beautiful! The door panel too!

I can still get the new window cranks from IAP for $20 in chrome, it is not the door opening lever, but the window crank, I believe IAP has those too, but only in black, I'm fond of the chrome accents.
Fixing it again Toni and Always looks fast around are two different companies, sorry Murray, but your friend should be hung from the tallest tree J/K
Still got the passenger side to do, wondering, now and again, if I should put in the map pocket in the passenger side, rivet it in, etc...I learned alot from doing the driver's side, so I'm still undecided on the best course of action and looks (or rather form and function) to do on the passenger side.
But can she do 135mph?

As done as she'll ever be, with the arm rest insert installed.

Thank you! Jig sawed it from the sheet and then used a dremel and paitience to trim it just right. I didn't have the original, but the passenger side was an exact opposite of the drivers, so I used it as a negative. Thanks again for the compliment, I appreciate it!

DD,
What about getting some edging material to go around the perimeter edge of the carbon fiber door panel. For boats, they make this black edging material with metal inside that clamps onto the raw edge of fiberglass to keep it from scraping people up. I also trims out the edge nicely. I think this would be a good application for that stuff.

Wow Todd, you read my mind, although, I was thinking more along the lines of black suede leather (1" wide, half an inch on the sheet metal side, half an inch facing the passenger/driver side) to go on the outside perimeter. It really isn't that sharp and it does lay back quite nicely, I thought the leather would just be an enhancement, you know, cow hide and carbon fiber, how could you go wrong?!

One hell of a learning curve, instead of 3 days to make and install, took just 4 hours No mistakes either. Used rivet instead of screws this time. Also got the inserts done for the window crank and door lever, although, the window crank insert will need to be double sided taped in, which I don't have just of yet, but anyways, looks nice to me anyways. Might be a good idea and put some POR 15 black paint on the rivet heads to hide them a bit, but still looks better than the original did.

Thanks for the input, can't really say the rivets were faster, but were definetly fool proof and secure with no risk of overtightening or stripping. Thanks for the compliment, never 2 beers-always 12!!! Or more!

While I'm not particularly fond of the look, I'd still like to offer a couple suggestions if I may:

1) instead of screws or rivets, mabe zeus/z-lock type fasteners would give a better look and functional usability.

2) mayhaps a bit more effort in lining up the pattern on the handles and grips with the actual panels before cutting things out. (see attached for example)
