Hi Rob,
The Noah is not thin, but it is not as thick as a new Evolution car... I say new because over time I find that the evolution cover wears, looses its density and eventually tears. Since I've been using the Noah, I won't buy an Evolution cover. My backyard in NJ has huge Oak trees and they cover portions of the driveway, and if a car sits unprotected there's no telling what could happen, as we are always having branches, leaves and acorns (they're like bullets in the fall!) coming down. With a cover (Noah or Evolution) the cars do fine. Without one, I'd be taking a risk unless the car is away from the trees...
Best regards,

I have the Noah car cover from IAP. I keep it outside all the time and even after it rains the paint remains very clean.

I'm a big fan of CoverCraft's stuff... http://www.covercraft.com/
I've had one of their Tan Flannel cover on my mk2 Scirocco for approximately 18 years and it's just recently begun to show signs of wear through.
I just recently ordered new fitted covers for both the mk1 and mk2 and once the Alfa is back in order it'll get a fitted flannel cover as well.

One thing to be aware of is that even though they say the car cover will breathe (Noah, evolution etc)., if snow gets packed on it when parked outside and if it isn't removed within a certain period of time (unknown factor), the condensation/dampness under the cover (and there will be) can possibly damage paint. It has done so on a lacquer painted car I have. Whether it will happen on an Alfa, I don't know.

Free for Cost of Postage
One used Evolution 4 custom fit cover for a Spider.
About 9 years old and needs a good washing or two.
Free for the cost of postage to the lower 48......
