"Do it yourself Network" videos of 69 restoration...
I saw a guy selling the videos on ebay a couple of months ago. Does anybody know somebody who has a copy of the videos. The DIY network does not sell vidoes of there televised shows. I will buy copies from anybody who has them.

I tried to beg DIY to sell the videos, but they refused. They did indicate that the Duetto restoration would be re-aired at some time in the future, and to watch local listings.
Unfortunately, I don't get DIY on my cable service.

Video
Bill,
In looking at the website photos of the restoration and from what a friend tells me he saw of the project was amazing. When I saw the videos on ebay I dimissed them as worthless, now I could kick myself for missing my chance to buy them.
Did anybody on the board see any of the restoration? I understand it ran about 6 episodes. I am going to keep an eye on the DIY network website to see when they will re-air the program. The website is DIYNetwork.com.

I saw one episode and thought it really sucked. It was a cheap restoration. The episode I watched was when the front suspension was rebuilt. He rebuilt the calipers but reused the wheel bearings! What kind of restoration is that?

I have to agree with Osso; the program was not informative for anyone with the technical skills to tackle a DIY restoration. Some of the replacement parts they used were also non-original in style (e.g. door panels were wrong). It was still entertaining to watch because the subject matter was a 1750 round tail, and the restoration happens quickly without my having to lift a finger.

Can someone record the episodes this time around? DIY is not available in many areas (like mine).

went to their web site, didnt find what was there too informative when I first started my rolling restoration of my round tail but nevertheless its an interesting site but interms of technical inputs, there are other site that are better such as rossored's excellent site.
be that as it may, would still be interested in watching it though so will appreciate some kind of help or arrangement in the future.
cheers

I'll probably be taping it. With any luck, I'll have figured out how to get my VCR hooked up to my computer via my digital camcorder. Then I can make DVDs/VCDs/etc for anyone who wants one.

For all those who sent me addresses over the summer, I sent out your DVDs today.
I'm embarrassed for the delay; I bought a house, then my computer died and I thought I lost all the info, then I completely forgot about the discs. Someone on the board emailed me this week and I got my act together and shipped out the DVDs.
The cost of this whole thing was very minimal, probably around $5 for the discs, labels, and shipping. If you like the discs and want to paypal me the $5, that's cool, but its not necessary. I just wanted everyone who wanted a copy to get one.
Enjoy!

The show is re-airing starting Dec 11 at 9:00 A.M. The web site lists dates and times for five episodes.
