shims... anyone??

going to replace all my valves. need to re-shims some probley.. i have 14 shims of asst. sizes but not all the ones i might need, anybody want to trade for what i need? thanks

shims are cheap. I ran intot his problem and simply ordered what I needed from IAP...

You might not need many.

When I had a valve job done on my car, I figured out the spacers I needed (after the head was re-assembled and on the car). It turned out after playhing musical spacers (moving them around to get the desired clearances), that I only needed 3.

Somewhere, I'll dig up a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet that I put together that allows one to enter the measured valve clearances in thousandths of an inch, and the spreadsheet pukes out the desired shims in thou and mm. (nothing speacial there, just some math).
