My first Alfa

Hello from sunny Athens, Greece.

Finally after yearning for a classic Alfa, I bought a 1973 Spider Veloce. It was recently imported to Greece from Germany, from its first and only owner, with 144.000 kms. It has neve been restored, just repainted 13 years ago.
So far I have not needed to have anything done to her appart from a new battery, so I just drive her along coastal roads near Athens. Its a joy. So much more pleasurable than the MX-5 it replaced.
Great to find more people enjoying these great cars. Keep it up.

I really envy you driving along those sunny Mediterranean coastal roads in the Alfa with the top down. My car is in storage for the winter and its about minus 10 degrees C here with snow forecast for this afternoon, so I can only imagine what that must be like. Looks like a great car, congratulations!

More room

I agree the Alfa is better than the MX-5( Miata). Mainly I notice how much more room there is. Far more comfortable.

Love it !!! The car looks great with the factory steel wheels and the proper European side marker lamps. What a great find!

Kali Spera!
Beautiful car in a beautiful country! I am hoping to move there in a few years (maybe Sparti). Know of any jobs?
Just curious, what does a spider cost in Europe these days?

Depends on the country and the model. Anything from 5.000 to 25.000 euro.
Here in Greece the average price for an S4 is around 16.000. There are quite a few S3`s, very few coda troncas and even fewer Duettos.

It is'n easy to find a clean example here in Greece. The best way is to buy a decent car from Italy.A nice 1300 coda tronca cost about 7500-8500 Euros, plus 1500-2000 Euros for taxes and registation. But be carefull, taxes above 1300cc goes double and more.
