Back on topic, and specifically Murray's improvement; he got a set of Hoosiers!.
Those Hooiser's sure are sticky but I also felt more comfortable with the car.

I'll tell you Enrquie that John sure can talk! I tried to find the off switch when we were at the track but I don't think there is one.

Are y'all still on this whole Black/White Spider crap?
Didn't ConeDriver show y'all that the RED ones are faster?? Just like MY red one! (that stayed in the garage so I could drive the AlfaVan)?

Well, I do have to give it up to Murray Unlike his black spider breatheren, he has came a long, long way since Detroit. Despite getting beat by George, myself, and Bud in time, Murray improved from a 9 second deficit to me at Waterford, to a 1.5 second deficit to me at Autobahn. And no matter how you score it....that was a huge improvement. Tires helped, but I do believe you have improved your skill as well.
Now Toyota boy......he finished dead last for both! God love him! Everytime he feels a little competition coming his way from the White Arachnids, he blows a head gasket and acts like that is his only Alfa! And then goes and jumps into a white spider to try to claim some sort of rained out victory! At least he won the table 8C! I think he should at least admit that White Spiders are faster than Black Spiders. And I agree with Mark....Either a particular Red Spider or a particular yellow spider with white stripe is the fastest.....then followed by white!!! Black...slow. George, he won't buy any hoosiers. He is too scared to put a mark on that beauty queen. You know the addage about the girlfriend, a little lov'n, and some aspirin. Well for Enrique its a little competition, an autocross, and a blown head gasket!!!! He is scared!!!!
Here is what Bud and I were really thinking!
Best Regards,
John M

Remember the announcement at the awards brunch that someone had John M's credit card. I thought it was yours, but since you didn't claim it, I just went ahead and used it.
No excuse for not meeting me, I was dressed formally for the bb get-together after the welcome party - with antlers!
Maybe Bud can help me out here - who was in the front seat when Chip brought us back from the concours???
I now return you to your regularly scheduled bragging (and moaning.)

Go out and buy Hoosiers just like Murray did. Look at the improvement he achieved from spending a few hundred dollars (well, $900 or so).

George,
I may just do that for the 2010 convention in Baltimore... It's just that if I go that route, I'll also have to replace the stock 14 inch wheels and that gets a little pricier... In the meantime, I'll just remind John about what is recorded for posterity in the annals of the 2008 Convention!
Best regards,

Is that a cloud of white smoke coming out of your head, John? Or is it just a lot of thinking?... ( Reminds me of how you thought you were faster... )
BTW, when's the next SCCA autocross in Lexington?
Best regards,

Enrique,
Here's the remaining 2008 schedule for Central KY Region SCCA Solo events. C'mon down and play with the red & white Spiders (remember we have a Street Tire class so you don't have to run with cars having "R" compound tires. Be sure to designate this if you enter on line. Just enter the SCCA class you usually run, and add a "T"). Of course, I am unable to influence any remarks coming your way from John or Bud...
7/6 Eastern KY University, Richmond KY
7/27 Eastern KY University, Richmond KY
8/16 & 8/17 Test & Tune. Lexington truck training pad
8/31 Training pad
9/28 Training pad
10/26 Applebee's Park baseball stadium (Tentative)

The only white smoke you'll be seeing is from you doing 360's trying to keep up with me and Budsy!
Best Regards,
