Now Budsy was running cams and webers. Don't know on his head work. As he said...he has a sperry head and a shankle head sitting around the garage. No telling what he has on the motor!
Best Regards,
John M

Hi Murray,
In order to experience this balony first hand, you MUST come to the AROC convention in Michigan. The cars will be driven fast, the tall stories will be told, and a great time will be had by all. Bud, John and myself (with wife Dee, and dog Dino) will be there among a great cast of other suspects....

Thanks George, I feel like I'm part of a great family with all of you guys. I printed out the form last week but have yet to fill it out. I hear there was only three spots left on the TT's don't know about the AutoX.
I am hanging lose until I see if I get this job I'm bidding on (I'm the only bidder so I got a good shot)

Not me, Bud... As much as I enjoy reading John's posts, my money is on you - and I'm still $10 bucks ahead 'cause Murray went with John!

I guess that with the Sperry and the Shankle as "spares", it would make sense to expect the one on the car to be stock, right?

If you decide to go at the last minute, you'd probably miss the TT, but I can assure you that I can get you into the autox. We just got to keep that one off-line.
Best regards,

Well Murray's post inspired me. I just completed my registration for the TT and autocross. We are taking both cars up. And the plan is to TT the 78, and autocross both the 78 and the 92. Wife is going to drive the 92!
Best Regards,
John M

OK....... you just rub my nose in it Enrique! I take John again for double or nothing! John you better get that race engine tuned for another Budsy beating. No offence Bud, I just gotta get even with that punk Enrique!
John you just got the fire under me too I just filled the form for the TT and the autoX, will mail it out tomorrow if for some reason it doesn't work out I'll sell my spots I guess? The black Spider will come dressed to race, no concours for me.

Murray, you are on! But same rules apply: payment at the Detroit Convention (or a convention, if need be.) Sorry John, but I started backing Bud, and besides having faith in him, I'm a man of conviction - which is why I'm always standing by the winning team!
The "no concours" is probably smart Murray... Last year it took me over 3 hours to clean the car after the autocross, and I spiffed it up even more in the morning... and I'll be doing it again this year! Anyone know a good detailer in Detroit? One who will work late on a Friday afternoon?
Best regards,

So what happens to all this Hoorah if an unknown lone gun from Texas drives his tired, not very pretty at this time, bone stock,'78 "touring" Spider with a luggage rack, up from the third coast to the convention, enters the AutoX as an Estock using road tires , and puts the WHOOP *** on both of you Koontuckey Long Shooters ?
(Hypothetical question you understand )

Enrique,
Great. See http://www.ckrscca.org/ for directions to the event site. It's right off the Beltline on the west side of town. Easy access from I-75. See attachment for the course:
