Question replacing hoses and sleeves

ok...
I got the sleeves off the intake plenum....
two were jsut fine.. the other two shoed heavy cracks......

I was not able to find replacement parts... should I just get regular high temp generic hose from a PepBoys/ Autozone and cut them to lenght myslef?......

Same thing goes for the oil vapor hose (valve cover to dryer).. that thing is so hard that is is almost brittle.... should I go with generic over the counter parts?

Thanks, Mike

Like Roadtrip said before, check the new owners thread. Plenty of links for part suppliers over there. The proper hoses are available to do the job.

I downloaded 4 catalouges (ouch !! with a dial up snail connection).. and went through all of them.....
centerlinealfa
international_auto
vickauto
fiatparts
and online at reoriginals

none of them had the sleeves that connected the intake plenum to engine head intake.....

.. have you any other source .. or have I just missed the parts...

Hey Mtiso:

One thing to add. Our suppliers never list all the stuff they have. Especially IAP. Its better to buzz them on the 800 number and let them look it up for you.

Only bad thing that will come out of calling them is that most of our suppliers are very knowledgeable and you will end up purchasing other items upon their recommendation.

Best Regards,
John M

The oil vapor lines need to be made of something that can hold up to oil. Cooling system hoses are not designed for that. Call someone like Alfa Parts or Difatta Brothers. They may have those in stock or can get them from Alfa for you.

Talking

Dude:

Check out IAP (International Auto Parts) I replaced mine!!
They are not just generic hose but heat resistant neoprene.
Check them out on web or call them. They were cheap!!!
Mine fit perfectly, don't just replace the broken ones,, do them
all considering the effort.
Really smooths the idle down!
Regards, Brian
