What do you do about dash cracks?
What do you do about dash cracks, especially for a '91? Are there any companies that sell new dashboards or 'fake' dashs (I think Centerline has one for $63) for '91 Spiders?
I am not talking about the soft dash covers, I would rather fix or replace it than cover it up, THEN cover it to protect it.

for a cover, I have a dashmat, it came with the 74 spider when I bought it. if I ever fix the old dash, I will keep the dashmat, it stops that anoying glare and reflections off the dash onto the winshield.

Check out Ebay Motors - Car & Truck Parts - Alfa romeo spider - about 3 million dash covers listed - plus a few repl. dash boards. A hard plastic cap would work best & it's cheap.
Good luck!

Check out IAP or Centerline. They sells dash caps that glue on. They aren't that bad either. Should cost around 60 bucks plus shipping.

Cry?
I think Centerline actualy sells repro dashes. Or is it IAP, or VIck's? I saw one in a catalog recently.
Re-originals, perhaps?

Just Dashes will restore it. Do a BB search and you'll find folks' comments on the service.

It was all in his post, but for the life of me, the search thing can't find it. Had something to do with dash repair for $30..?? I didn't mark it. Maybe lost in the big server crash?

May look good in a low resolution photo, but what about the grain imprint on the vinyl? My guess is you can clearly see the repair when viewed close up.

They're in Van Nuys, California. I don't recall the cost I read from those that have had it done (I haven't done it myself); it wasn't cheap, although less than a brand new dash. They have an informative website at www.justdashes.com. The cost depends on the car, of course.

Akitaman, that's him. Odd, I put 'dash repair for $30' into the search and it can't find that??
I agree, I'd like to see it in person to see how it turned out. But the premise was to refurbish a dash cheaply that was a throwaway, for an everyday car.
