Duetto Headlight trim (different?)

Hello members,
does anyone have ideas about these Duetto parts?
On the diagram, it is part (1)
Also, I would love to learn how to post photos
in a larger format.
Thank you.
Regards,
Alberto Guirola

Those are exceptionally rare rims. I have never seen even so much as a picture of a car with them on. There was a set on Ebay a year ago. I made a copy of the seller's image to keep for my records. I suspect they are to go on cars that do not have the fairings, but have the European style headlamp bucket mounted inside the fender.

I don't think that they are all that rare. I've seen several sets in So. Cal. Even bought a pair @ a club swap.

Well, I am really curious, as the set I have, came in a pair with the
AR part # as only one. No R or L. , bags stapled together
Again, they are rings that are NOS and came to El Salvador almost 40 years ago and nobody knew why at the dealer's (doesn't exist anymore).
I am going to try to fit on either version (US or Euro). Will let you know.
They are great looking castings, and as you can see on the catalog, it was
an alternative A or B, (L)105.03.65.041.02/ (R)105.03.55.014.02
these being: "Rim, headlamp for Europe".
As far as (R)105.03.65.100.00/ (L)105.03.65.101.00, being for:
"Rim, headlampfor USA".
It would seem that the earlier are for the euro set up and that they would be mounted upfront under the plexi, and cover the #105.03.65.100.01 thin trim ring.
I give up....
Any photos on real cars? If not, I will post after plexi comes off.
Regards,
Alberto Guirola
