A Great Alfa Day x2 !!!

As mentioned last weekend, I agreed with a buddy to buy a couple of 74 Spiders that came available in the Denver area.

So today we took possession of one parts car (see classifieds) and another that will be put back on the road.

The "good" car was bought for only $500. After a battery charge and $6 of gas, it started right up!

Can't wait to get started on the full restoration of the good car! Dickson

Congrats! Lots of fun ahead! I have some great memories of a certain night out in a buddies' spider with the girlfriend...

The "good" car looks like a pretty good driver the way it is. Nice buy.

So, were you drinking the green stuff in the glass when you bought her.

They both look tasty.

Looks like you did well. Selling just the bumpers off the parts car will pay for both of them, I'll bet.

two into one.

Sounds like you may be doing something my son and I did a few years ago. We bought two 74 spiders. One was decent looking, but had a very bad transmission, etc. The second, a complete pile of rust , but had a decent drivetrain. We basically had enough parts to make one pretty decent car. At the time , he was 14 yrs old, and he wound up driving the Alfa to high school. By the way, the rusty hulk was cut up into small chunks with a sawzall and over a period of 4 mos was disposed of in our trash can. Learned alot about unibody construction that way.
