IAP Clutch kit

I'm looking to take advantage of IAP's 3 day sale to pick up some parts for the rebuild on my '73 Spider. I notice that one of the items that they have on sale is an "Italian manufacture clutch kit". Does anyone have an opinion on this clutch, or how it compares to a Sachs or equivalent? I was told that the manufacturer is Come (pronounced co-may).

Best regards,

Best regards,
COME is a good brand. Not sure their sale price but I can provide OEM clutch kit for $235.00. Valeo- Factory clutch

I have had bad luck with COME kits on S/24V 164's, but 164 base, and spiders are ok.

Sachs is original equipment on Alfas and a lot of other high end cars like Porsch and BMW, just to name a very few. For the difference in price, I would go for the Sachs. The aftermarket clutch price offered by IAP is tempting, but Alfissimo's $235.00 for OEM is a better buy against the aftermarket at $215.00. You won't be sorry if you go for the Sachs.

Besides, Gunther Sachs, heir to the Sach empire, was once married to the French sex pot Bridget Bardot. If you buy the Sachs, you cab help Gunther pay his alomony to MS Bardot. That alone has to be worth the extra $20.00.

Go for it

I was originally planning on going with the Sach clutch, but then I saw that $172.00 sale price from IAP and was tempted, particularly as I was already going to buy a set of springs and would also save on shipping. Thanks all for the input, I think I'll pass on the sale and buy Sach when it's closer to the time to start putting everything back together.
