On the crank pully I tried so many different hammers and flex handles and finally grabbed the block, took it to a place with an air wrench and it took all of 3 seconds to spin it off. I couldn't beleive the fight was over so easily.

When jacking the engine from below. I have put a 2x4 between the jack and the bell housing and jacked from there.
Watch the fan and the shrowd and loosen the exhaust at the tranny to allow less pressure on it.

You are probably right. However I seem to remember when I replaced the heater hoses that was a lot of beer er I mean fun!
