Underground Condo Parking Storgae

Last year when I stored my spider in my underground parking I placed cardboard underneth the entire car. My question is does this help keep away the moisture from the concrete or is it better to leave it an do nothing?

Thanks

Hi Frank,
The cardboard does a fine job keeping the oil drips off the cement, but I doubt if it does much else. The last couple of years, I haven't done anything, but in the past I have bought poly vapour barrier and rolled it out on the floor and parked on the poly.

I like to used carpet remnants (scraps) that can be bought very cheaply and do a great job of keeping moisture from coming up from the concrete.

I was thinking of buying of some plastic rolls at Home Depot. It is easy to store and reusable.

Thanks

Cardboard is great for changing oil (after many seasons of getting the technique down, I thought I had it, yet my last oil change followed the adage "everything that can go wrong, will"--I was glad for the cardboard.

But for moisture, the poly is great. Some people might view it as overkill, but hey, it's cheap!

Do you use the double plastic or do you just open it up and use the single layer?
