That is SPICA, not carbs. But it still may be a good deal.

Looks like a carb conversion. The 81 had the Monfarfalle(sp) Spica.

looks like a spica with the air box gone. get a air box and bring back a lot of power.

Look at the idle manifold above the bell crack.
The intakes are Shankle Quadraflows.

I have a 1980 alfa and this originally was the same setup as mine. Which is SPICA however this gentleman got rid of the pump, plenum etc and did a carb conversion. This is something i'd like to do to mine but the kits are $1000.00 plus. This car comes with the Carbs I want and the top I need. Looks like very little to get this one running! Too bad funds dont allow seems like a great deal.

I give up. Do you know what a carburetor looks like?
You can see the SPICA pump and the hard lines to the injectors. It may be a SPICA from 1979 or earlier car, but it is still SPICA.

Agreed, carbs are kinda brutally obvious when compared against SPICA:

The green car Right hand Drive? Yes ! I see the clutch MC now.. so the big bar running across the fire wall is brake pedal extention mech.? I think I see the brake MC on the left fender wall. Fairly early car with battery in front. What year is this car? The carbs are?

Man this sure looks like the K&N configuration on my '79. Mine is most definitely Spica. I've thought about ripping out the K&N setup and replacing it with the air box out of the '73. You really think it will add a bit of power?

Why are you looking to do a conversion? Spica, when set up correctly is a very nice system, and can deliver performance and reliability. Have you set up the system yet? I have a 75 and it was running like my lawn tractor (slow and sputtering) until I spent a day and set it all up correctly. I had to turn in the mixture screw under the shutoff switch about 7 complete turns to get it right... It now is quick and leaves a smaller black soot mark!
