I have a 74 Spyder equipped with Webers. It normally runs great but after sitting all winter (with Stable in the tank), and sitting even longer while I replaced the rear end, I finally got to drive it last weekend and it is a bit off.
It drives fine with a light pedal but when I trounce on it it bogs down and seems to cut out (doesn't stall at all). I looked at the plugs and they are black. I took the cover off the webers and sprayed the area with gum out and cleaned the filters (they looked fine).
It starts immediately and idles fine. Any ideas? I do OK with a lot of mechanical aspects of the car but I have never fooled with the carbs.
Thanks in advance, John
