Daytona wheel rubs

I've recently replaced the original steel wheels on my 86 graduate with FPS Daytonas. The right front wheel appears to rub on the steering lever. Can anyone give me any corrective action or why this has occured seeing they're original spider wheels.

What size tires?

They're 14" FPS Daytonas. Could it be the PO had a bad alignment job done and messed up the suspension geomentry which brought the knuckle to close to the wheel.

I presume the width is 6" on the Daytonas, correct? But, what is the tire width? 195? 205? You say the wheel rubs, is it in fact the wheel or the tire? I suppose you could have the alignment checked to make sure the settings are correct.
