73 Spider Door Panel Removal?

I am replacing the door lower door panels in my 73 spider. I was able to remove the lower panel without any difficulty.

But I am having a hard time removing the top panel. I have removed the two screws but it is still holding fast to the door. It looks like I need to push it up from the bottom to release it from the window channel but I don’t want to break it because I am going to reuse it after some minor repairs.

What is the trick to removing these?

Any help would be appreciated.

Got mine from centerline. Yes they were cheaper and I am very impressed with the quality. They are made in Italy and look identical to the originals that were in my car.

I am struggling with how to install some plastic to protect them and am also thinking about coating the back of the panels in varnish of some sort to protect them.
