Re-connecting the upper Timing Chain

What is the proper procedure for re-connecting the upper timing chain?

Not much mystery to it. Why was it disconnected? From memory, here goes...
1. Crank is still at TDC, right?--don't rotate it without cams connected or you'll be rewarded with bent valves.
2. QC dizzy rotor pointing at #1
3. Cams should be installed with #1 lobes pointing outward with marks on cams aligned to the timing marks on #1 cam bearing cap
4. Ensure tensioner is fully retracted into its bore, bolt tightened.
5. Thread chain around sprockets, get all slack above sprockets
6. Cover/stuff timing chain cavity with clean rags to catch the master link pieces when you drop them.
7. Re-insert master from back to front, don't forget center link and the open end of the clip points to passenger side. Don't drop it.
8. Remove rags
9. Release tensioner, leave bolt loose
10. Rotate crank very carefully by hand through a couple of revolutions to take up slack in chain and to check for piston/valve interference.
11. QC chain tension IAW manual (you got one, right?) and tighten tensioner bolt.

Good luck
