Refinishing the Cromodora Daytonas

I am considering this refinishing kit from Eastwood... Eastwood Co. - EW Aluminum Wheel Refinishing Kit

My wheels were parted from a 1986 Veloce and are in need of refinishing. So, can the metal be polished to a shine and then clearcoated?

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on MirraChrome?
