I had to take apart my entire dash to get to the blower. If you just want to change out the monopod the best way is to remove the lower bolts on each side of the bottom dash and loosen or remove the the two wing nut holding in the dash at the underside top front. With that you can lift the dash the inch you need to get the monopod out and in the steering column.
Without loosing the dash you can get the pod and front trim out (bearly), but it's impossible to get it in.
The pod front trim can be pried out and four screws holds the guages in. Just disconnect the cable and it comes out

Why not just swap the guts out following my instructions on the fix your slow reading tach/speedo thread from yesteryear? Or is your outer casing toast or something? I'll swap you cluster if you'll bring me up a sump guard tomorrow and swap my lower pan on the 92!
