Smile clutch problems

Hi all i am a new member who is looking for some help on my 2006 alfa 1.9jtdm. I had the car for a week before i found i couldnt engage any gear and had to have the slave cylinder changed. This fixed the problem but now i find that when starting the car from cold the gears are very hard/stiff to engage but when warmed up the gears are back to normal and change perfectly. Im not technically minded and was hoping one of you guys could come up with a reason as to whats wrong?

Welcome to AlfaBB. This is the wrong forum for posting this type of question (this forum deals with problems using AlfaBB) -- a better forum would be the Transmissions forum. Still, from what you describe the issue seems to be viscosity of the oil in the gear box. I suggest you change it to what Alfa has specified for your region.

'63 2600 Touring Spider (AR 191437, the car that started the 2000/2600 International Register, reassembly in progress)
ex-'65 2600 SZ (AR 856043, now a restomod in Austria)
Maintainer of a private 2600 SZ register (not the one in the Netherlands).
