so the wait begins...
hi all, i recently became the new owner of jims 71 giulia super 1300 and its being relocated to its new home in california to keep our 74 gtv some company. ofcourse after i paid and set everything up, they told me i would be waiting 20 days for the auto transport to transport it from Mass. the car was delivered to their terminal by jim on friday the 16th, its scheduled to be here on june 7th... aaarghhhh!! they also told me this time of the year is their busiest time as people are moving cars all over the country... hope they are over-estimating it (as some people have mentioned) and it gets here sooner...
anyway, i look forward to our giulia, i guess i just needed to vent!!!! haha

Welcome to the Sedan fold. I too have been without my Super for a month and a half because of restoration, and I've got another month or two before I'm back on the road. I've pictures of your new car, and it looks good. You should have flown back east and driven it home, no waiting that way.

Welcome in the fold
I too have the unfortunate situation that my Giulia Super 1300 1972 is also awaiting parts so that I am not able to enjoy the fantastic weather we have been having here in Copenhagen over the past 5-6 weeks.
Check the thread where I have a description of the process to date wit the rebuild of the diff - the LSD should be on its way and if it is like Alfaholics write, it's a straight plug and play installation. Same goes for the 7x15" GTA replica rims that I am going to maount with 185/60*15" so that I don't get any rubbing on the in- or outside.

Andy, I think you made the right choice getting a nice one instead of the cheaper car by me. I'm looking forward to seeing it! Are you going to try and take it on the Motherlode 400 the last weekend of June? It's in your back yard. email me and I'll forward you the application.

If you haven't had a car shipped before--they drain the gas tank.

well, shes here!
well, the giulia is finally here! picked her up yesterday from the DAS terminal here in sacramento. was first delivered to them on 5/16 and it finally got here on 6/10! LOOOOOOOONG wait. anyway, it was worth it.. and even though jim thoughtfully put a very detailed starting procedure list for whoever had to start her up, she fired right up and ran like a champ! i have a really hot 2L in my GTV and was kind of worried about this little 1300 but shes a goer!! rev's up nicely and gets up there quick!
anyway, havent taken any pics yet but will..
so far the best reaction is watching people sit in the front seats and go "wow, these seats are comnfy!!"
