Hi,
My car when finished, will be white, and I'll post pictures here for all to see when I'm done. As for your car, there aren't many people following this thread, so you might want to post a thread in the forsale forum and/or the Australian forum if you are actually trying to sell it.

Saturday Update #7
Unfortunately, another week has gone by with no visible progress. In fact it seems that they have taken a step or two backward, as my car has been moved off to one side of the yard. I talked to boss at the shop and he tells me they will have it finished by next Saturday. I don't see it, as it appears to me that there's a lot work left, but I suppose miracles can happen.

Yep, happens all the time at body shops, paint shops and mechanic's shops- keep on 'em!

Saturday Update #8
Well, some progress was made this week. More of the welding of patch panel from my parts car were completed, as well as the filling of holes for thing that won't be reused, like the front side marker lights. The floor mounted handbrake from the '72 was added to the tunnel of the '67 floor transplant. The process of rolling the rear fenders for the wider wheels was also started. Here's a few pictures taken today:

Saturday Update #8 - part 2
Also completed today, the new wheels (14x7 Panasports) were joined to the new tires (Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212). Here's pictures: (before I added the center caps)

Looks like it is starting to come together. Keep the pics coming, they are very informative, especially as I am about to go through a similar resto.

Saturday Update #9
I was sick the last half of the week, and though I was feeling better today, I didn't feel like driving the 120 mile round trip to go check on the car. Therefore, there is no update this week.

Saturday Update #10
Well, guess what? There is progress to report. They've started sanding/filling/sanding as the welding of replace part was completed, except for the seat mount points. Still a long way to go, but I think I can see the end of the tunnel. Then the process of putting every back together will start. First will be a new headliner, followed by the installation of a Sparco roll cage.

Saturday Update #11
IT'S IN THE PAINT BOOTH. IT'S IN THE PAINT BOOTH.
I was surprised today when I went down to the body shop today to find my car in the paint booth. They were just finishing up on the primer. Both doors from the parts car are being reused and they've been painted and looked vary good. Here's some pictures from today:

Frank,
With the cost of the parts car (and the trip to get it), plus the body and paint (not show winning quality, but great for a semi-daily driver/track car), I'll be into the project for about $5200. Then there's another 2 to 4 thousand for the upholstery work and other miscellaneous stuff. The interior work is almost as much as the body and paint. I could have probably save a fair portion of the cost if I had any of the skills required, but I don't.

The red car from George was known as Tiger Lilly for a time, and well before that I owned it. Bought as a striped shell basket case in 1979. I put it together with new laquer, interior, 2L mechanicals, etc. Nice to see that 40% or so of it lives on!

Just found this ... looks great, truly getting a second chance at life! Or maybe it's tenth, who knows!
Now just don't go and sell it 6 months after she's finished!

"I think I can see the end of the tunnel."

Shouldn't the thing at the end of the tunnel be a transmission or axle (depending on which way you're facing)?
