Happy birthday to my Super
Timothy Rodgers kindly reminded me that his and my Giulia Supers (VINs 342322 and 342323, both green/tan, still with their original black Calif plates) came off the assembly line nose to tail 41 years ago today, and both still going strong in daily use. Booyah (or however you spell it).
Thanks Tim!

I missed the birthday on mine! It was born on Feb. 9 - VIN 342169. I did get it a birthday present, though - dropped off the seats at the upholsterer for recovering.

Happy Birthday
Andrew, happy birthday to your Super! it certainly looks good for it's age. You're a lucky man to have original colors of other than white/gray!
I just looked up mine (AR339345), it was 12/3 (1966). I'll have to treat mine to a bottle of octaine booster sometime.

Easy enough to find your car's birthdate from Alfa, with a VIN.
This is the email mine came from, but I'm not sure it's who you send the query to: CentroDocumentazione@alfaromeo.com
I may put a candle in a quart of 20W/50 for it today.

My Super, also green (AR 209) on tan, and also bearing its original black plates, was born a scant 3 months later on May 17th. Surely for the lucky original owners of these cars it was un'estate d'amore here in the Bay Area
And here are all three together:

How to interpret this? Had a response from Elvira Ruocco that my Super was "produced on April 22, 1966 and sold [to?] at Newark Alfa Romeo on April 19, 1966." Exact wording in quotes.
I have a coupon book showing the first owner bought the car in June 19966.
Thus, is the Super's birthday the 22nd or is there something lost in the translation?

Newark Alfa would have been ARI (the US distributor) or whatever it was called at the time. As to the dates, either there's a mistake, or it was presold. I dunno if that happened.
