Siuper - Vent System

Guys,

Just trolling through Cardisc to determine what I require to fix my heater. The valve is beyond help and I also require a heater control cable.

Anyway, on page 561 Cardisc shows what seems to be an additional blower fan. It's not the one sitting under the heater matrix and I'm wondering what models this extra blower fits ? Is it supposed to be behind the foot vents ? I'm sure my Siuper doesn't have a fan in either side. If it is from the foot vent, how is it switched/controllede ?

Furthermore, the ducting depicted on page 555 doesn't show how the foot vents are plumbed into the system.

Anyone care to explain how the foot vents are fed air ?

Thanks

Rear windshield demisting fan? The Catalogo Rapido di Ricambi shows one. Fairly common in mid 60's European cars before heated glass became the norm.

1 - About Extra fan: +1 with Yorgos. early vehicles were fitted 'upon request' (sul richiesta) with an additional fan for rear window, before resistors were inserted in the glass.

2 - About the foot vents, they are fed directly from the windshield grill. Some metal ducts in the fender, welded along the 'A' pillar drive directly FRESH air to the feet. So don't expect this to prevent from the cold bite in winter !!
In fact it was designed to trap efficiently moisture in the sill area to improve efficiency of rust in this area (if needed ??)

No need to say they stay closed most of the time. Hopefully there's a sealing element that prevent the duct from leaking inside the cabin

Anyway, owner's manual states clearly how air is managed in a Giulia. Anyway and watever you do, you'll freeze in winter and overheat in summer...
