Did this fall off my car or did I just run over it??!!
On the way home from work there was an almightly clatter from the rear of the car. First thoughts, oh bugger what just broke?
Pulled over in a side street as it happened on a main road and ran back to where it happened to find this bit of SS trim. Is it off my 66 Super or is it someone elses!?

I'm sorry. I have nothing of value to add to this thread. However I thought that I'd mention that I found it absolutely hilarious.
Parts falling off your car while driving
Not knowing if the parts are from your car or not
Having the same damn thing happen to me countless times

Yes it was definitely off the grill!
It made a horrible clatter under the car! Really did get me worried for a bit until I saw it was a trim bit!
Nothing worse that when something comes loose and you dont know where from. A few years back I got rear ended in a car I had just finished doing a baremetal respray and rebuild on. I was stationary and the car hit me doing 90km/hr. Anyway I and the girl in the passenger seat got completely showered in nuts and bolts, we thought the car had exploded until I realised it was as the 'leftover' bolts that I had filled the centre console with!

Uh, Derek, when you put the puzzle back together there aren't supposed to be leftover pieces...
And why fill the console with them? Were you planning to be a car-bolt-bomber??
Finally - just me or does that piece of trim not look very "run over" - they don't make 'em like they used to, huh? I lost a piece of (plastic) bumper off my old VN commode-door and it just vaporised. (Yes, I admit it, but there was a reason: job 1,100kms from girlfriend (now wife, so no comments) therefore the car most closely resembling a lounge room wins. )

Yeah, I didnt feel really safe in that car knowing I had leftover bits, I was hoping they were from my donor car!
And yes that trim seems unbent, even though I heard about 10 other cars run over it before I could pick it up!
