Youd think for that kind of money they could put the 1750 badge in the correct place.
Look at the masive lumps around the base of the speedo and tacho humps too. Engine bay looks grubby. I wouldnt pay 18K Euro for a nice paint job and some shiny brightwork.

Damo, you are absolute right. This must be our issue. But I guess If someone willing to get the car, will ask further details, too.
As for the car Haig reposted, looks really great and stock. I told you before about Berlina's herritage in Europe, especially 2000. The car remembered as a top Alfa Romeo, luxurius and without main problems. And it was expensive, too. How someone can judge the price if the car is really original and in GREAT shape today? Who, the collectors? Also in Europe, coupes were always on the road and is so difficult to find a clear example today, unlike Berlinas.Perhaps the opposite found in USA. I can say something here, rising of the discussed issue between us: This might be a great moment for all spending time and money for restoring an Alfa Romeo, by seeing these prices on the net. Not because we will take their money back if we will sell our cars in the future, but just for the damned justice! At last, Alfa Romeo found it's right place on the market, too

Py 105,
For some countries, rear badge (1750-2000) was placed there under the taillight, since the number plate was not the one like the usual square. I guess this owner, kept the badge as it was originally located when the car bought, but now placed a new squared frame for the plate. Didn't want to drill three new holes in the car.

Way to go vangelislaz......Berlina 2000 rules, we are making you il Presidente of Berlina 2000.
You need to educate some people who only things what they drive is the best car out there.
IMO berlina 2000 has the nicest and most classy interior.
I have been to Larnaca Cyprus, very nice Island.
Ciao from Boston!!!

Still waiting.....Koko is busy as usual LOL.
I am not rushing, because I want it to be done like new.
Speaking of the $21K Berlina forsale, if its in good condition original no rust, I think that's a fair price. Mine will reach to that, as you mentioned before.
It is always better to buy a restored or in original good condition Alfa, rather than doing it yourself. You will be very surprised with the money you spend and the hidden cost.
At the mean time I am enjoying it whenever I can.....Berlina baby......I love the comfort and the handling. Specially when you smoke some other newer cars.
Giorgio

asking price is very different from selling price... although it would take more than that to restore one.... Asking 30k for my Gtv! will i get it?

Speaking of low miles....
There are many VERY low mileage Alfas around. One '67 GTV here in the OC has 33k and is fabulous!
The '70 1600 S that came from Europe last year had 54,800 KMs and is an original one owner car.

Just that someone doubted that a 35 year old car would have so low miles.
It's not impossible to find one.
And it's cheaper to pay top $ for a great unrestored car than building your own.
