Early Gulia 1300
I am about to purchase one of the earliest 1300 manufactured as from what I have seen (mainly in darkness) is that the car doesn;t have split seats, and it only has 2 front lights not the 4 lights version!
What I am buying is definately a Giulia 1300 Sedan. Going to buy it in 2 days and bringing it to the garage on Friday evening!!!! If all goes well, I should get the car for about $250 American dollars!! And it is still in good condition!!! What struck me the most is that it still has its original 2 thin black lines stickers running across the bonnet and throught the side. Can anyone confirm if this sticker was applied on all original supers? Thanks
The wrong thing about it is that it has the engine has been changed and there is no grill, but I will be getting the originals in the near future! I am based in Malta (small island under Italy) where there are tons of classic cars out in the road! I will all keep you updated with the first pics of the car when I get her!!!

Congrats Jipstar
On your new Super. Enjoy.
It is my inderstanding that stripes were not a factory option on any supers, here in OZ anyway. I stand to be corrected...
Anyone?
Tim

I've never seen stripes applied to Giulia sedans from the factory, though we in the US didn't get many Giulia versions. Maybe a dealer thing, if not a previous owner?

That's really nice to hear Giorgio.
I just came from the transport authority department to get all information on the car, that is chassis number and enigine noumber, I now have to go match the figures to the actual car, If all goes well, I will be purchasing the car right at that spot and transpoting it by a tow truck across the other Island where I live!

I'll second that!!
Malta is a beautiful place, And so is Gozo (its sister island), Many a fond holiday memory in my head. Do they still use the old buses from the 40's/50's out there??

Altough they have introduced brand new buses in Malta, the old buses are still in operation mainly for tourist attractions!

Isma Jipstar, kolox sew?
I'm from Sliema, but I live in Australia now. I was in Malta in October and I didn't see a single 105 series Alfa sadly. My father and my uncle used to work on a lot of Italian cars in a garage in San Gwann before I was born, and they used to race their motorcycles at Taq Qali. A life that I am sad I missed.
Congratulations on buying the Giulia - I hope to see it pictured near some of our national attractions when you've finished with it!! Where exactly are you located?

Bongu!!
hehe. I am from Gozo ben. Maybe the reason you did not see many 105 series is because they take them out on Sundays

Ghawdex eh? Well, I have family (Camilleri) in Xewkija which is father's mother's side. A lot of them, like most Gozetans I think...
I really look forward to seeing photos of your 1300. Where did you find it, and where can you buy parts for the cars in Malta?

Well you should come to Malta very soon and catch a glimpse of the cars that come out on a sunny Sunday! The classic cars you see are just amazing. I found this Alfa from Malta, it hs been garaged for 5 years and the seller needs some space!
As for parts, there really aren't much parts to buy from here unless maybe from a junkyard, but it woudn't be that expensivre to buy parts from Italy as it's very close and we are both members of the EU! So no tax! hehe.
I will send pics for all of you as soon as I tow it to my property!
