The body looks straight, hope it's solid. To my eye the seats and door panel look to be reupholstered. The mosting interesting thing is the engine, not the original 1300 DOHC aluminum alfa motor.

Why I am I not surprised!!
In Malta, when something breaks (like an alloy twin-cam) it gets replaced with either a Ford Pinto, or a BMC A or B series motor, as in this case! And with a single SU, I can imagine how wheezy that little donk is in the ti.
Shame that motor is missing Jipstar, it is probably in the landfill at Maghtab!
The interior isn't too bad, and I love those early, early strip speedometer models. Its a good start to a rebuild! I have only ever seen one ti that early in Australia.
Prosit Jipstar.

This reminds me, (and this is a bit OT) but if you guys go to onlyinmalta.com you will catch on to a few motoring and other attrocities that are committed on my island...
Jipstar - is the original gearbox there? I ask because apart from wondering if you can mate an A series with an Alfa gearbox, I thought that strip-speedo Giulias had column shifts and that car has a floor shift.

I have strip the seats from inside, cleaned inside and out completely!
Now refurbishing the chrome trim at the exterior and also stripping the paint off for a new paint job.

A single-carb BMC engine no less. Greatly underpowered?

The early dash and strip-speedo appeared on both column shift (105.14) and floor shift (105.08) 1600 TIs, plus early 1300s too. I'm writing up a discussion of the many Giulia tipos for the next Berlina/Giulia newsletter. Send me an email at andrew dot watry at lexisnexis dot com if you're not subscribed but want to be.

The Chassis number is 567912.
So what year is this Alfa? And what kind of engine is that?
I've never seen a Giulia with one whole front seat!

It's an Austin, Morris, or MG engine made by BMC.
It shows up as a mid-range 1965 Giulia 1300 Berlina, tipo 105.06.
Early Giulia TIs, and apparently 1300s, had a bench seat. I had thought it was just column shift cars, but apparently floor shift too, unless this car was converted from column shift (though I don't know if 1300s came that way), or someone put in a bench seat.

No no, the guy only chaged the engine, I woudn't doubt that he changed anything else.
Done some cleaning:
Before:
After:
But still more cleaner to be done after the car is complete! Still stage one!!
Can anybody point out what the key hole is needed bebeath the steering colum, tried to rotate it but it does no lock the wheel....
Can anybody identify what all the switches in the pic are for? Thanks guys!

If I remember, the three plastic built-in rockers are for wipers, fan, and dash lights. The others look added. The one on the panel might be for four-way flashers? Or maybe to replace a broken rocker? The push-button looks quite added to. I see there's also an extra ignition switch down there. Most of the stock switches may be wired around. Good luck tracking all that down. You should get a TI owner's manual, which has an electrical diagram in it.
