Talking Small World

That's the fella, the very same one from who I bought my green 2000 from (small world innit?). I Have the black interior from the broken car too if any one's interested.

Just seen a car that was for sale on the listings page of Classic Alfa, wondered if this is a known Berlina?

Quote:
1975 2000 Berlina. Cava beige, one owner with 72000 miles and original service book, incredible original body, with all seams and spot welds present, correct and impeccable. Having had just a recent freshen up re-spray at a reputable London Alfa Romeo restorer (even he was gobsmacked). Shut lines are perfect and the doors close with the lightest touch. Interior is fabulous, with just light wear to the drivers seat, carpets and dashboard are original, and perfect.

This has to be the best and most original right hand drive Giulia Saloon available, you would never be able to restore a car to this standard, and if you managed it, it would cost in excess of £20,000.

SOLD
Maybe Richard Norris would be able to shed some further light on this ... shame he doesn't bother posting on here.

Alex.

I've just seen that cava beige Berlina for sale (again?) in the classifieds section of the AROC-UK website. Price is £4750. Maybe the car was sold too late for the advert to be withdrawn and therefore this is somewhat misleading?

Mmm, nice to know, I like the sales patter "to restore one to this standard would cost around £20,000". I think a 20k restored example would be in considerably better condition than this example, or at least, it ought to be for that kind of money...
I'll just keep tinkering with mine as it is, rusty bits and all. There's life in the 'ol dog yet, flew down the M6 over the weekend blowin' the doors off many a modern motor, some looking on in amazement (as they do!!!)
