Anyone aware of this car?

It is only a miniature, but it is of a Giulia sedan chopped into a beach buggy for the President of Italy! I have never seen even a photo of the real car..

Youbetcha

Yes dretceterini, I even have a picture in one of my books or magazines, but if I remember correctly the book/magazine stated that the car was used for carting prominent visitors around the factory. I'll see if I can find the book/picture/article and scan and post the picture.
regards
Bob

This was in the october 93 editoin of the german "Oldtimer Markt" magazine in an article about the Alfa Giulia titled "The wolf in a sheep's clothes"
The caption translates "Convertable with removable roof: This Giulia was used in the factory for tours"

Looks like a Citroen Ami. I'm nearly speechless. Does it still exist?

Yes, I've seen the prototype photos, and would love to have one of those cars. This car on an Italian website is alleged to be a prototype, but there are some things that make me wonder if it's genuine. I didn't get any response when contacting the seller.

No response to inquiries could well be a good sign of someone looking for a sucker - or the seller is french and refuses to speak english?! I guess we were all just born 15 to 20 years too late and in the wrong country!!

Bob
