That VIN corresponds to a mid-range 1966 Super in Fusi, though it may not have been sold til 1967.

I've added the car to the Register list. If you send me contact info I'll add you for Berlina/Giulia newsletters.

Missing part!?

Of what I can see from the pictures are you missing the chrome list that are running on the center of the hood.

On my 66 and 67 I have a different intake that has the thermostat inside the "tube" and have a much bigger end to the intake

The grill is from a early Ti

Bumber and the sill list is the right ones

Fredrik

Edit, other missing part/wrong part!
On the cam cover you should have 4 "soft" washers and two in aluminium to be correct.

I plan on putting bac all the original chrome pieces. When the car was delivered, prior owner never did put them on. I haven't decide what to do about that front grille? Should I keep the earlier one from the TI or swap for an original piece from a Super? I'm leaning toward getting the original two-piece.

Now I have established that the car was built in 1966 nad sold in '67, I'm wondering if it could have been possible (then) to use a block (AR000536)from '66 Giulia Sprint / Duetto in lieu of what is really is supposed to be
(AR000526).

Alfa has been known to do this before. When I restored my '71 1750 GTV
(14 years ago), we realized that the housing for final drive gearing at the rear was stamped like the Euro type (4:10), in actuallity, it was a (3:56). It made perfect sense since 95% of the 1750 were not built fo r the American market, therefore, why cast another housing piece for only 1,400 units sent to the States.

I probably need to fing the gentleman that sold me the Super and ask if the block had been changed?

I think you can count on it that the block was changed. Super engines had a hair less power than GTV/Duetto engines, and I would not have expected the factory to have installed the wrong one.
